[DeuxLivres.png][François Taïani] Background

I hold a "Diplôme d'Ingénieur" from the Ecole Centrale Paris in France and a "Diplom der Informatik" from Stuttgart University in Germany (in Industrial Engineering and in Computer Science respectively). During my undergraduate studies I had the great opportunity to work for two major German companies: Bayer AG in Cologne (as a research assistant) and Daimler Benz (now Daimler) in Stuttgart (where I did my Masters Thesis or "Diplomarbeit").

Just after my undergraduate studies, and for a bit more that one year, I worked for a software company named ILOG (now part of IBM) in Frankfort as a marketing assistant, pre-sales engineer, and product consultant (sequentially and concurrently).

I then decided to embarked on a Ph.D. I went to LAAS in Toulouse, where I stayed 4 years. Following this, I spent one year at AT&T Lab & Research as a post-doc visitor, before being hired as a Lecturer (roughly Assistant Professor) in the Computing Department of Lancaster University.

For more information you can look at my résumé here (English version) and here (French version).
